Yacuma River

Rio Yacuma

The Río Yacuma is a left tributary of the Río Mamoré, in the Bolivian Moxos level, in the department of Beni.

Course

The Yacuma rises at an altitude of 205 m 35 km northeast of the small town Yucumo, which lies on the highway Ruta 3. It flows in countless meanders first 130 km to the north and then turn eastwards to. After a total of about 500 km, it flows into the Río Mamoré, 15 km northeast of the city of Santa Ana del Yacuma.

In its course the Yacuma crosses the province and the province Ballivián Yacuma, which owes its name to the river.
