Yan Savitskiy

January Anatoljevich Savitsky (Russian Ян Анатольевич Савицкий born April 29, 1987 in Leninogorsk, East Kazakhstan Oblast, Kazakh SSR, USSR ) is a Kazakh biathlete Russian origin.

January Sawizki launched since 2006 in the Junior European Cup. In 2007 he joined Martell on in his first Junior World Championships and reached No. 33 in singles, 20 in the sprint and 16 in the pursuit comparatively good results. Therefore, Savitsky was shortly thereafter also used in the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz in singles, in which the Kazakh was 83. The 2007/08 season brought a win and a third place in the Junior European Cup. In Ruhpolding, he started again in 2008 with a junior world championships, without the good results of the previous year to reach. Best result was 26th place in the pursuit. In 2008, Savitsky was then used again at the World Championships, this time in the mixed relay race ( 17th place ). In January 2009, he won the title in the sprint and pursuit at the national championships.

In Hochfilzen Savitsky won the sprint race of the Biathlon World Cup 2009/2010 as the 39th first World Cup points. He represented his country at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. With the season in the occupation of Alexander Chervyakov, Savitsky, slides Keneschew and Alexander Trifonov he achieved his best result as 18. In the individual competitions, he was 64th in singles, 39th in the sprint and managed in pursuit of an improvement on the 27 rank and was the best Kazakh.
