Yasmin Kwadwo
Yasmin Kwadwo ( born November 9, 1990 in Recklinghausen ) is a German track and field athlete in the sprint disciplines.
Life
Yasmin Kwadwo grew up in Dortmund and began after the family moved to Wattenscheid 2001 as a member of the TV Wattenscheid 01 in athletics, her coach was Slawomir Filipowski there. It occurs as a sprinter in the 100 meters and the sprint relay, rarely above 200 meters. In 2007, she was third in the German Youth Championships in the 100 -meter run, in the following two years she won the title in each case, in the hall, they won the championship over 60 meters. 2009 brought her to increase her personal best to 11.38 s qualification for the European Junior Championships ( U20). Started as a favorite, she won both the 100 - meter race in 11.42 s and with the 4 x 100 - meter relay ( Yasmin Kwadwo, Leena Gunther, Nadja Bahl, Ruth Sophia Spelmeyer ) in a time of 44, 86 s, and the season of the TV Wattenscheid she won her first national title in the power range.
Equal in their first year with the women, she won the title at the German Indoor Championships. At Karlsruhe she ran the 60 meters in a personal best of 7.29 s, beating Anne Möllinger and Marion Wagner, however, missed the standard for the World Indoor Championships by five hundredths of a second. With the Wattenscheider season in the cast Karoline Koehler, Katja Tengel, Maike Dix defended the anchor leg for the title. Because of these achievements, she was nominated for the European Championships. In Barcelona, she left in the singles category with 11.68 s in fourth in her heat.
At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu Yasmin Kwadwo ran as a first leg in the 4 x 100 - meter relay, however, we failed to transfer the baton to the next runner, Anne Möllinger as Kwadwo had been impeded. In 2012 she won the German championship in the hall with the Wattenscheider 4 x 200 - meter relay. At the Olympic Games in London Kwadwo was runner replacement of the DLV Quartet. At the end of the season, she moved to MTG Mannheim, the training group of Valereij farmer who also Verena Sailer belongs.
The parents of Yasmin Kwadwo come from Ghana. She attended high school in märkische Wattenscheid with specialized courses sports and English and joined the school in June 2010 with the Abitur. As an "elite student of the year", she received an invitation to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, which they still turned down, to prepare for the Abitur. She is studying in Heidelberg English and history teacher.
