Yass Valley Council

Yass Valley Shire is located in the southeast of the state and is bordered to the south by the Australian Capital Territory to the capital Canberra. The area includes 32 districts and towns: Bango, Bell Mount Forest, Binalong, Boambolo, Bookham, Bowning, Burrinjuck, Cavan, Dog Trap Crossing, Good Hope, Goondah, Gundaroo, Hall, Illalong Creek, Jeir, Laverstock, Manton, Marchmont, Mullion, Murrumbateman, Nanima, Narrangullen, Spring Range, Tangmangaroo, Uriarra, Wallaroo, Wee Jasper, Woolgarlo, Yass Yass River and as well as parts of Bywong and Sutton. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in the town of Yass in the north of the LGA, where about 5,300 inhabitants.

Management

The Council Yass Valley has nine members, who are elected by the residents of the LGA. Yass Valley is not divided into districts. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
