Yavi

Yavi is, a village in northwestern Argentina. The village is located in the north of the province of Jujuy in the same department Yavi near the border with Bolivia, about 300 km north of the provincial capital San Salvador de Jujuy. The place is located at an altitude of 3510 m.

In Yavi about 270 inhabitants ( according to INDEC 2001).

Yavi was formerly the seat of a county Mark - the only ones who ever founded on the territory of the later Republic of Argentina.

Near Yavi a mountain called Los Siete Hermanos is located (Spanish: the seven brothers ) and the lake Laguna Colorada.
