Yelena Davydova

Jelena Viktorovna Davydova (Russian: Елена Викторовна Давыдова; born August 7, 1961 in Borowski ) is a former Soviet gymnast. She was two-time Olympic gold medalist.

At the age of 18 years Davydova won at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow two gold medals in the individual all-around and with the Soviet team in the team all-around. In addition, they could get a silver medal on beam. In Jump, she finished fourth. A year later at the World Gymnastics Championships in 1981, which also took place in Moscow, it was with the Soviet team world champion in the all around. In the individual competitions, she won a silver medal at the bottom and two bronze medals in the individual all-around and on bars.

In 2007, she was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
