Yelena Zhupiyeva-Vyazova

Olena Schupijewa - Wjasowa (Ukrainian Олена Жупієва - В'язова, English transcription Olena Zhupiyeva - Vyazova, . Born April 18, 1960 in Arkhangelsk ) is a Ukrainian long-distance runner.

The starting for the former Soviet Union athlete took at the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome silver in the 10,000 -meter run behind Ingrid Kristiansen (NOR ) and before Kathrin Ullrich ( GDR).

At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 she won the 10,000 m bronze medal behind Olga Bondarenko (URS ) and Liz McColgan (GBR ).

In 1993 she won the Grand Prix of Bern over 10 miles.
