Yellow Matter Custard

Yellow Matter Custard is a U.S. Beatles tribute band that existed for only two performances. After the manner of a supergroup it was composed of four members, who were already known from other bands here before.

For the two shows on 17 and May 18, 2003 Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse, Paul Gilbert and Matt Bissonette came together under the name Yellow Matter Custard. The band's name comes from the published 1967 Beatles song I Am the Walrus: "Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog 's eye".

Mike Portnoy continued to perform in appearance than the initiator of the tribute bands Cygnus & The Sea Monsters ( Rush ) and Hammer of the Gods ( Led Zeppelin).

From the second concert at BB King 's New York a double CD and a DVD has been released.
