Yoanka González

Yoanka González Pérez ( born January 9, 1976 in Cifuentes, Villa Clara, Cuba) is a former Cuban cyclist.

Since the late 1990s Yoanka González was active in competitive sports; they raced on the road as on the track. In 1999, she placed second in the road race at the Pan American Games; In 2003, she won the gold medal. She became vice - world champion on the road, 2003 Third Also in 1999. In the Track World Championships in Melbourne in 2004, she won the world title in the scratch.

In the following years, González took several podium places at national, World Championships and World Cup races. Three times she also took part in the Olympic Games, 2000, 2004 and 2008 in Beijing, where she won the silver medal in the points race.

Yoanka González is married to the Cuban cyclist Pedro Pablo Pérez Márquez.
