Younès Belhanda

Younès Belhanda (Arabic يونس بلهندة; born 25 February 1990 in Avignon, in the Vaucluse, France) is a Moroccan football player, who also has French nationality. He's since July 2013 at Dynamo Kiev under contract. He previously played for Montpellier HSC. His preferred position is attacking midfield.

Career

In the club

Belhanda began his career at RC Aramonais and MJC Avignon, for its youth teams he played until 2003. He then played for the HSC Montpellier, where he belonged to the senior squad in 2009. 8 August 2009 Belhanda got its first use in the Ligue 1, as he stood at the game against Paris SG on the grid. With the HSC Montpellier in 2012, he won the French championship. This season he was also voted the Rookie of the Year in Ligue 1. In July 2013 he made the next step in his career and moved for about 10 million to the Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kiev.

In the National Team

Belhanda came in 2010 to four appearances for the French U-20 National Team, but decided then the future for the Moroccan national football team to play. On 17 November 2010 he came in a friendly against Northern Ireland on his first international cap. With Morocco, he took part in the African Cup of Nations in 2012 and 2013.
