Zambezi Airlines

Zambezi Airlines was an airline based in Lusaka Zambia and based on the Lusaka airport.

History

Zambezi Airlines was established in May 2008, the national airline operations began with a first Embraer EMB 120 two months later. Since June 4, 2009 737-500 international destinations were served with two initially leased from GECAS Boeing. The Embraer EMB 120 was replaced on 1 July 2009 by an interim re- emitted Jetstream 32. On November 1, 2011 Zambezi Airlines introduced until further operating.

Destinations

From Lusaka Zambezi Airlines flew last after Cape Town, Johannesburg, Dar es Salaam, Harare, Kinshasa, Livingstone, Ndola and Lubumbashi. In addition, there was a codeshare agreement with Air Namibia.

Zambezi Airlines was on the list of the operating bans for the airspace of the European Union.
