Zamudio

Zamudio is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia in the Basque Country (Spain). The town lies on the Camino de Santiago in the Valle de Asua Sub - region (Gran Bilbao) and belonged from 1966 to 1983 to seven kilometers distant city of Bilbao. Bilbao Airport is only four kilometers away.

An important hallmark of Zamudio is now Parque Tecnológico de Zamudio ( Zamudio Technology Park ), in which many large and medium-sized enterprises, such as the engine manufacturer Industria de Turbo Propulsores (ITP ) are integrated.

On bus line A3224 ( Bilbao Derio Technology Park ) Bizkaibus the bus company and the railway line connects Txorierri (line 4 ) of the Euskotren ( Deustua - Lezama ) Zamudio Bilbao and other municipalities.

The place consists of the districts Geldo, Aranoltza - San Antolin, Galbarriatu, Santimami and Arteaga - San Martín.
