Zdeněk Doležal

Zdenek Dolezal ( born September 1, 1931 in Prague ) is a former Czech figure skater, who started in pair skating for Czechoslovakia.

His skating partner was Věra Suchánková. From 1956 to 1958 they were Czechoslovak champion. Already in her first international appearance they were in 1955 in Budapest, European Vice-Champion behind the Hungary Marianna and László Nagy. In her World Cup debut later in the same year they were sixth. In 1956, they failed to defend their European Championship medal. They finished the Championship in fifth place. In her only Olympics they were eighth in Cortina d' Ampezzo in 1956. 1956 and 1957 they contested any World Championships. 1957 in Vienna and 1958 in Bratislava were Dolezal and Suchánková European champions. In their second and last World Cup participation, the pair won the silver medal in 1958 in Paris, behind the Canadians Barbara Wagner and Robert Paul.
