Ziemenbach

The Zieme creek between Hohenzieritz and Prillwitz

The Zieme Bach is a river in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District. It rises in the Krebssee at Weisdin and flows west of Prillwitz in the Lieps. Its length is about 8 km away. From the source lake to the mouth it has a gradient of about 54 m. From the heath wood in sand mill to the mouth part of the Zieme Bach to nature reserve Ziemenbachtal.

Previously, water mills were operated at sand mill and Hohenzieritz with the Zieme Bach. The operation of these mills was set in the 1950s.
