Zulfiya Zabirova

Sulfija Chassanowna Sabirova (Russian Зульфия Хасановна Забирова; born December 19, 1973 in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR ) is a Tournament Director in cycling and a former Kazakh cyclist.

Sulfija Sabirova emigrated in 1993 from her native Uzbekistan to Russia and entered from then on Russia as an athlete on. In 2005 she participated in the Kazakh citizenship.

At the 1996 Olympic Games won gold Sabirova in the time trial. In 2002 she was road cycling champion. 2002 and 2004 she won the International Thüringen Tour of the women. In the years 2003 and 2004 she decided the discharged on the last 118 km of the men's classic Milan - Sanremo Primavera Rosa for themselves. In 2004, she also won at the inaugural Women's Tour of Flanders. Twice, in 1998 and 2002, she won the Chrono Champenois - Trophée Européen.
