The 2005/06 season was the 72th season of the series A1, the highest Italian Hockey League. Champion for a fifth time in club history the HC Milano Vipers.

Mode
In the main round each of the eight teams completed a total of 42 games. Subsequently, the league was split into two groups of four participants. The top two teams of these groups qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. For a victory, there were two points with a Draws there was a point and a defeat. According to their placement in the main round, the teams were given a certain number of bonus points for the second season phase.
