2010–11 Serie A (ice hockey) season
The 2010/11 season of the Italian Ice Hockey Championship Series A1 began in autumn 2010 and was the 77th regular hosting of the Italian State Championship. It was played with nine teams.
Defending champion Asiago sat down in the playoff finals in six games against the HC Val Pusteria by, the fifth encounter with 5:0 was decided at the conference table in favor of Asiago, after the HCP had won the fifth game 7-2, but no goalkeeper had nominated Italian passport to the squad and thus committed a rule violation.

Before the season, the South Tyrolean club WSV Sterzing Broncos decided to step into the Serie A1. The Italian Hockey Federation ( FISG ) has rejected the request of the association in early July.
The A1 began on 23 September. The Master is the latest firm on April 5. Game day stay Thursday and Saturday. There are also some " English weeks, which is played on Tuesdays. Also planned are two breaks for the national team in December and in February. They will play five rounds. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs, consisting of quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. As for the aliens, each club may have eight points awarded ( a foreigner among a counter, an Italo half a point ). A maximum of ten transfer card players are used per game ( six foreigners and four or six Italo Italo and four foreigners). One new proposal of the video evidence with four fixed cameras in every A1 Stadium. The cooperation with the referees should be improved in the coming season. The plan is an evaluation system of the referees. The re- confirmed Schiedsricherobmann Renzo Stenico has the willingness to pull together with the Lega and the clubs together.

In the play-offs make the best eight teams of the basic pass each other. Quarterfinals, semifinals and final will be in the "best - of-seven " mode discharged, the team that has finished the regular season with the higher rank, can count on the home advantage.
