2011 NBA All-Star Game
The NBA All- Star Game in 2011 took place in Los Angeles on February 20, 2011. The 60th All-Star Game was held at the Staples Center, home to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. The two clubs were regarded as official host of All- Star Games. The award of the All- Star Games to Los Angeles was announced on 9 June 2009 by Commissioner David Stern. It was after 2004, the second time that the All-Star Game took place at the Staples Center, and after 1963, 1972, 1983 and 2004, the fifth time in Los Angeles.
The team from the Western Conference won with 148:143 against the team of the Eastern Conference. Kobe Bryant was elected with 37 points and 14 rebounds for the MVP of the All- Star Games. LeBron James had 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, the second player after Michael Jordan, who scored a triple -double in an All- Star Game.

Coach
Head coaches of the two All-Star teams are traditionally the two coaches, whose team leads the respective Conference two weeks before the game. For the team of the Western Conference Gregg Popovich was therefore responsible, coach of the San Antonio Spurs. The team of the Eastern Conference was the coach of the Boston Celtics, Doc Rivers, looked after. For both it was their second appearance as a head coach of an All-Star team.

T -Mobile Rookie Challenge
The T-Mobile Rookie Challenge will take place in the framework program of the NBA All-Star Weekend. Sprite Slam Dunk Contest
On January 5, the four participants in the Slam Dunk Contest were announced: Blake Griffin, JaVale McGee, Serge Ibaka and Brandon Jennings .. Ranging is in the corner, then the players move on the three- point line along until they reach the other corner. Each station has four balls and a colorful Moneyball, which counts two points.
Taco Bell Skills Challenge
At the Taco Bell Skills Challenge took part five players. During the competition, participants must complete dribble and pass course and throw on a throwing station.
Chris Paul, who had already taken part three times, was automatically qualified. When his four opponents candidate Stephen Curry, Derrick Rose, John Wall and Russell Westbrook were selected at a Fanabstimmung between eight. For the final round Westbrook and Curry qualified in the finals Curry sat down with a time of 28.2 seconds compared Westbrook through.
