Albiano d'Ivrea
Albiano d' Ivrea is a town with 1800 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Turin (TO ), Region Piedmont.
The neighboring municipalities are Bollengo, Ivrea, Canavese Palazzo, Piverone, Azeglio, Caravino and Vestignè. The patron saint of the place is San Martino.
Geography
The place is located about 53 km from Turin, at an altitude of 230 m asl. The municipality covers an area of 11 km ².
History
The place was originally a fortress that played a role in the battles between Vercelli and Ivrea. The winning Ivrea certain for several centuries the fate of the place. Today little remains of the fortifications are still preserved.
