Almazna
Almasna (Ukrainian Алмазна; Russian Алмазная / Alma Well ) is a city in eastern Ukraine in Luhansk Oblast, with 4,000 inhabitants (2013 ) and belongs administratively to the municipality of Stakhanov.
Geography
The city is located in the eastern Donets Basin 6 km north- west of Brjanka, 7 km southwest of Stakhanov as well as 65 km west of the Oblasthauptstadt Luhansk. Almasna is part of the agglomeration Alchevsk - Stakhanov.
History
Almasna in 1870 under the name Isjum ( Ізюм, translated as " raisins " ) and founded in 1878 in Almasna (translated " diamond " ) renamed. The city received recognition as Almasna in 1977.

Traffic
In Almasna there is a station called Stakhanov, from which you can travel as far as Moscow and St. Petersburg by train.
