Arrondissement of Montluçon
The district is an administrative district in Montlucon Allier in the Auvergne region of France.
History
On 4 March 1790, founded with the establishment of the department of Allier, a " district Montlucon", which, however, was still much smaller than the present district. The district was expanded with the establishment of the Arrondissements on February 17, 1800, and established as a district Montlucon.
On September 10, 1926 were added to parts of the resolution at the time arrondissements Gannat.

Geography
The district is bounded on the northwest and north by the district of Saint- Amand- Montrond in the department of Cher (Centre), on the east by the district Moulins, to the south by the district of Riom in the Puy -de- Dôme and southwest and west by the arrondissements Aubusson, Gueret in the Creuse (Limousin ).
