( Also written Bänkerjoch ) The Benkerjoch is a Swiss Pass in Canton Aargau, the Kuettigen and Oberhof links. Below the pass on the north side is the hamlet Benken AG.

History

The Benken pass is first mentioned in 1426. Until 1801, he formed the boundary between the foreground Austria and the Swiss Confederation. 1977 new Benkenstrasse was built.

Traffic

From a post Frick car drives to Aarau on Benkerjoch where it holds. It performs a forest road from the pass to Staffelegg. Hiking trails lead to the Wasserflue.
