Bennett County is a county located in the state of South Dakota in the United States. In County live 3574 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Martin.
Geography
The County is located in southwestern South Dakota, on the south by Nebraska and has an area of 3084 square kilometers; including 14 square kilometers (0.45 percent) of water. It is bordered clockwise to the following other counties: Jackson County, Todd County, Cherry County and Shannon County.

The county was established in 1909.
