Haakon County, South Dakota
Haakon County is a county located in the state of South Dakota in the United States.
Geography
The district has an area of 4732 square kilometers; of which 37 square kilometers (0.78 percent) of water. It is divided into two unorgansierte territories: East and West Haakon Haakon.
History
Haakon County was founded in 1914 and 1915, organized and named after the Norwegian King Haakon VII, so the district is one of nine in South Dakota, which was by a person who did not live in South Dakota, named. South Dakota is a hub of Norwegian immigrants in the United States.
