Bonnetan

Bonnetan is a commune with 826 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the Gironde department in the region Aquitaine and belongs to the canton in the Arrondissement Bordeaux Creon. The municipality is located in the catchment area of the city of Bordeaux.

Geography

Bonnetan located in the southwest of France in the region of Entre -deux-mers between the rivers Garonne and Dordogne, 14 km east of Bordeaux, the capital of the Aquitaine region, and 7.4 kilometers north- west of the cantonal capital of Creon, on an average height of 67 meters above sea level. History

Bonnetan was (52 BC to 486 AD) inhabited in Gallo-Roman times. And since that time by fields and vineyards.
