Charles Daniels (swimmer)

Charles Meldreum Daniels ( born March 24, 1885 in Dayton, Ohio; † August 8, 1973 in Carmel Valley Village, California ) was an American swimmer.

In the Summer Olympics 1904 in St. Louis, he was able to win three gold medals. He won over 220 yards and 440 yards, and with the 4 × 50 -yard season of Americans. He also won silver over 100 yards freestyle and bronze over 50 yards. At the 1906 Summer Olympics, he won over the 100 meters. In his second "official" participation he could be more than 100 m freestyle Olympic gold medalist at the Olympic Games in 1908 and win the 4 × 200 m relay bronze.

In 1965 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
