Electric (Pet-Shop-Boys-Album)

Electric is the twelfth studio album by British pop duo Pet Shop Boys. It appeared in 2013 and is the first album by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, which is not published by Parlophone, but by their own label "x2". It was produced by Stuart Price.

It contains, among other things, a cover of the song The Last to Die by Bruce Springsteen and the song Thursday for the Pet Shop Boys collaborated with rapper Example. The nine tracks will all be part of the 2013 taking place worldwide "Electric Tour" of the Pet Shop Boys.

History

The album was recorded in London, Berlin and Los Angeles from November 2012 to April 2013. Fluorescent was written and recorded in April 2013. On March 14, a short trailer for the album appeared on YouTube. On May 1, the first single Axis appeared as a download at iTunes, Amazon MP3, Juno Download, etc. The music video has since been able to be accessed on YouTube and tape.tv.
