The local council in Flomborn consists of 16 council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman. The 16 seats in the local council distributed among the two groups of voters for Flomborn (10 seats) and Willig (6 seats ).

Monuments

The monument was set the leanest pork of the village.

The Flomborner were raised by the occupiers after the Second World War slaughter levy on too high. This release was measured by live weight. When the pigs on the series were that same pig led the villagers every time the balance until it performed the procedure almost independently. The pig was the leanest in the whole village, so that the charges turned out very low. The collector should have them noticed anything and the villagers were so happy that they later decided to build this " Pig " on the square a monument.

Sports

The Gymnastics and Sports Club 1897 eV Flomborn is the local sport and football club. The inaugural meeting with 58 founding members was held on 28 July 1897.

Economy

From 1947 to 1976 I.R. Eppelsheim, Mill Lane, the company colors Schmidt GmbH ( subsidiary v. inks factories Gebr Schmidt GmbH, Frankfurt aM ) settled. She was with up to 100 employees, the largest employer in the area. The entire manufacturing building burned down in the summer of 2008.
