Wahlheim

Wahlheim is a municipality in the district Alzey- Worms in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Alzey -Land.

Geography

By Wahlheim the Aufspringbach flows. Wahlheim is the center of the "cooling ground ".

Neighboring municipalities are Esselborn, Freimersheim ( Rheinhessen ) and Kettenheim.

History

The village Wahlheim in the chain Heimer reason once commanded Walaheim belonged to the castle Alzey. In 1400 bought the Count Palatine Ruprecht III. two of the Burgmann Heinrich Bock of Lonsheim parts at village and district. Since 1633 the place belonged to Electoral Palatinate. In the district there was a possession of the monastery Waida at Dautenheim. The twenty -tube wells ( "look well "), and once stood between the two districts, was restored in 1994.

Parish council

The local council in Wahlheim consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
