Granby Prédateurs (LNAH)

The prédateurs de Granby ( Granby prédateurs English ) was a Canadian ice hockey team from Granby, Québec. The team played from 1997 to 2004 in the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League.

History

The franchise of the 94 de Waterloo from the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League was relocated to Granby in 1997 and renamed in flash de Granby. The club filled the gap that was created by the relocation of the prédateurs de Granby from the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL in the city. After the team finished in their first two seasons the regular season in second place, they always finished in the next five years either rank five or six. A total of three times the team for the playoffs for the Coupe Futura could qualify, but failed in 2000, 2002 and 2003 respectively in the first round.

From 2002 to 2004 the team played under the name prédateurs de Granby in accordance with the QMJHL team that they had replaced at its inception. When the League was renamed Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey 2004 due to the increasing professionalization of its participants, presented the team a game its operation.
