Hefersweiler

Hefersweiler is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Wolfenstein.

Geography

Hefersweiler is located at Odenbach in the North Palatine Uplands. It consists of the districts Hefersweiler and Berzweiler. To Hefersweiler includes the living space Ahlbornerhof.

Neighboring towns are Reipoltskirchen in the north, low churches in the South, Wolfenstein in the west and Rathskirchen in the east.

History

The place was first mentioned in 1223. He belonged in the 18th century Palatinate -Zweibrücken before he passed through a land swap to the Palatinate in 1779 and was incorporated into the dominion Reipoltskirchen.

During the First Coalition War Hefersweiler 1793 was occupied by the French. After the Congress of Vienna it was from 1816 to the Kingdom of Bavaria. Today's church was established on June 7, 1969 by the merger of the municipalities Berzweiler and Hefersweiler.
