John Kirby (bishop)

John Kirby ( born October 29, 1938 in Baylough, Athlone, County Roscommon ) is a Roman Catholic bishop in Ireland.

Life

Kirby visited the Garbally College and studied Catholic theology in Maynooth. On June 23, 1963 Kirby was ordained a priest. He later taught at Garbally College, whose president he became. On February 18, 1988, he was appointed Bishop of Clonfert.
