Kamov Ka-10

The Kamov Ka -10 (Russian Камов Ка -10, NATO reporting name: Hat, dt: hat ) is a small, simple experimental and observation helicopters of Soviet helicopter manufacturer Kamov. He is an enlarged development of the first Kamov helicopter Ka -8.

The Ka -10 has as the Ka -8 over Koaxialrotoren, two swimmers and a single-seat, open cockpit, but only the built- in Ka -10 Ivchenko AI -4W - piston engine had sufficient power for enhanced testing and demonstration flights.

The first flight of the Ka -10 was made in 1949, were built only twelve pieces for test purposes, including eight as Ka -10M with a double fin and rudder. For series production for the Soviet Navy, it was not due to the still limited achievements of the Ka -10, for this the two-seat Ka -15 was developed.
