Kempfeld
Kempfeld is a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Herrnstein. Kempfeld is a nationally recognized resort.
Geography
Kempfeld located on the German Gemstone Route in the southern Hunsrück between the Idarwald the north and the town of Idar -Oberstein in the south.
To Kempfeld also includes the hamlet Katzenloch and the living spaces on the Steinberg, Mr. hallway and Wildenburg.

Parish council
The local council in Kempfeld consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Culture and sights
To place a part of the Wild Castle and a Wildfreigehege on Wildenburger head, also the only German gem garden in the school road.

Economy and infrastructure
In Kempfeld there is a kindergarten and a primary school on the outskirts of Wildenburg. On the outskirts there is a solar park.

In Cologne there is a road of the same name, the Kempf Elder Street in Suelz district.

- Hans King (1916-1999), German politician ( SPD), was from 1948 to 1957 mayor of the Office Kempfeld
