Lédenon

Lédenon is a commune with 1392 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Gard of the Languedoc -Roussillon region.

Geography

Lédenon lies about 18 kilometers northeast of Nîmes, near the A9.

General

In the community there is a library with nearly 5000 books. In general, the community is more influenced by agriculture. The Circuit de Lédenon, a race track, for which the village is famous, does not fit into this picture.

Circuit de Lédenon

The construction of the circuit was decided in 1970 by two motor sport fans. On June 16, 1973, the Circuit de Lédenon was officially admitted. 1977 took place the first major race. On the whole route 38 speed changes are necessary.

Management

Despite their situation that would have rather favored one belonging to the community associations Pont du Gard or Uzège, the community opted for a membership in the Association of Municipalities Nîmes Métropole.
