Lutopecny

Lutopecny ( German Lutopetz, formerly Luttopetz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers west of Kroměříž and belongs to Okres Kroměříž.

Geography

Lutopecny located at the foot of the north-eastern foothills of the hill country Litentschitzer in the Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ). The village is located on the right side above the valley of the brook Věžecký creek. To the east rises the Barbořina (St. Barbara Mountain, 256 m) and in the southwest of Troják ( 396 m). One kilometer north of the town the highway D runs first

Neighboring towns are Bezměrov, Hradisko and Postoupky in the north, Miňůvky, Straz and Horni Zahrady in the northeast, Štechovice and Kroměříž in the east, Vážany and Jarohněvice the southeast, Sobělice and Popovice in the south, Věžky the southwest, Zlobice in the west and Bojanovice and Měrůtky in the northwest.

History

The village was probably built shortly after the founding of Kroměříž. It has existed since time immemorial from a princely side and the belonging to the reign Kovalovice Lehnsseite. The prince's side came probably in 1110 or thereafter, to the bishopric of Olomouc, acquired as Bishop John II Kroměříž. The first written mention of Lutopecz took place in 1290, when Bishop Theodoric of Neuhaus herleitete unsuccessful legal claims on the entire village. 1320, the site was designated as Luthopecen. Other forms of the name were Lithopeczen ( 1389 ), Lytopeczen (1406), Litopecz ( 1413 ), Luthopeczny ( 1456 ), Lythopeczny ( 1461 ), Litopecen ( 1517) and Litopeczny ( 1649). Each of the two sides had its own judge. The Office of Erbrichters was connected with the plot No. 14 on the prince's side and was practiced for centuries by the family Navratil. The Lehngericht was probably in the house No. 37, the Lehnrichter was elected by the residents of Lehnsseite and was subordinate to the hereditary judge. During the Thirty Years' War the Swedes in 1643 devastated the entire village. Even in 1650 the place was deserted and the Kovalovicer Lehnschreiber reported at that time that in Litopeczny only two farmers and a possessory widow lived. Both sides were competing communities, which used its own signets. In 1788 was in Lutopecny a seasonal branch of the parish school Hradisko in the winter months, the children of Lutopecny and Měrůtky were taught. Until the mid- 19th century, the village of the dominions Kremsier and Kovalovice remained proportionally subservient.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lutopec / Luttopetz made ​​from 1850 onwards officially a municipality in the district team Kremsier. Regardless of the Princely side could continue to preserve their autonomy. Only after the death of the last Erbrichters Josef Navratil received the Mayor in January 1883 Klapil sovereignty over the entire village. In 1872, the congregation led parallel the names Lutopecny or Lutopec and 1890-1924 Lutopecny or Litopecny. Due to the increased number of students was inaugurated a new school building in Lutopecny 1886, in the school in addition to the 68 children of the village and the 48 were enrolled from Měrůtky. The windmill of Lutopecny 1892 destroyed by a tornado. With the beginning of 1961 Měrůtky was incorporated into Lutopecny. The school was later closed because of the decline in students; currently 69 school-age children from two districts are taught in Kroměříž. At 31 December 2000 the community had 557 inhabitants, of whom 369 lived in the district Lutopecny and 188 in Měrůtky. Ethnographic the village belongs to Hanna.
