Prusinovice

Prusinovice ( German Prusinowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-west of Bystřice pod Hostynem and belongs to Okres Kroměříž.

Geography

Prusinovice is located in the southeast of Hanna in the Podbeskydská pahorkatina the creek Kozrálka. South-east lie the remains of the castle Kasařov.

Neighboring towns are Turovice, Dřevohostice and Lipová in the north, Křtomil, Rychlov and Bystřice pod Hostynem in the northeast, Bílavsko and Hlinsko pod Hostynem in the east, Jankovice the southeast, Dobrotice and Tucapy in the south, Bořenovice and Roštění the southwest, Pacetluky in the west and Líšná in northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1349 and shows him from the seat of Vladiken Sezema of Prusinowitz. At issue is the origin of the place name, which is on the one hand the other hand, derived from the ethnic group of the Prussians, by a locator Prosen. More likely is the derivative of the place name of a cattle glut. Below the village belonged to different lines of Prusinowitz. In 1464 sold Prokop Podstatzky Prusinowitz of the property to the brothers Philip and Artleb of Wiczkow. They came to the Moravian knights of Víckov and renamed themselves Prusinovský of Víckov. Johann Wilhelm Prusinovský of Víckov permit in 1521 the Bohemian Brethren, the settlement in the village. This built in Prusinovice a church. At the beginning of the Thirty Years' War acquired Wenzel Bitovska of Bítov possession. He was expropriated after the Battle of the White Mountain and sells the goods to Zdeněk Vojtěch of Lobkowicz. His son Wenzel Eusebius von Lobkowicz sold the reign Bistritz including Prusinowitz 1650 Johann von Rott Valley. 1790 Francis of inherited red valley, who had no male descendants, the possession of his nephew Johann Nepomuk Wenger. After the abolition of patrimonial Prusinowitz received its independence in 1850 and became part of the district Kremsier. The courtyard Prusinovice acquired 1903 shares sugar factory in Všetuly. In 1961 the church was added to the Okres Kroměříž. The village is called by its inhabitants colloquially as Rohálov.

Since 1993 every year the Rohálovská desítka, organized a running event over 10 kilometers.
