Měrotín

Měrotín ( German Mirotein, also Měrotein ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers west of Litovel and belongs to Okres Olomouc.

Geography

Měrotín extends to the north of the country Drahany across the valley of the brook Měrotínský creek. West of the village lies the valley of the brook Hradecka. To the north rises the Třesín (345 m), southeast of the Parduska ( 379 m) and in the southwest the Sumina (417 m). One kilometer north ends the disused railway line Litovel - Mladeč.

Neighboring towns are Měník and U Robinsona in the north, Mladeč in the northeast, Sobáčov, Nasobůrky and Chudobín in the east, Haňovice, Kluzov and Nová Ves in the southeast, Na Pile, Na Pindě and Loučka in the south, Savin, Slavětín and Kovářov the southwest, Hradečná in west and Paterin and Bila Lhota in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Miroteyn took place in 1365 as a possession of the Vladiken Dubčany. As of 1406, the town was referred to as Myrotyn and from 1437 as Mirotin. The first evidence of the parish church was occupied in 1481 as Medvídek and Zbynek Dubčany of the church patronage. The diocese filed at this time to Hvozdečko. In 1535 the Lords of Zástřizl acquired the estate and joined it to the reign Haňovice. Among the owners were, inter alia, January Proček of Zástřizl and from 1585 his son Bernard Prakšický of Zástřizl, an avid follower of Utraquist and Brüdercalvinismus. He sat in a Měrotín a non-Catholic minister. After the Battle of White Mountain, his property was confiscated and the rule Haňovice 1622 is about to Olomouc Cathedral Chapter. The parish became extinct in 1625 and the town was the parish after Cholina. 1656 chaplaincy of the parish was established in Loštice Měrotín. Other forms of the name were Mirocin ( 1492), Merotinki (1594 ), Meretinki ( 1596), Maretinke (1601 ), Marotinke, Marotzinka (1604 ), Merotinke ( 1606 ), Mierotin ( 1676 ), Miro Tinka ( 1716 ), Mirotein, Mierotein ( from 1718), Miro Tinka (1771 ) and Měrotín (from 1839). In June 1772 the Olomouc Metropolitan Chapter in Měrotín taught again a parish one to whose jurisdiction the villages Hradečná, Slavětín, Savin, Mladeč, Měník, Paterin, Nová Ves, Kovářov and Střemeníčko included. After a new parish church was established in the wake of the Josephine reforms in Bila Lhota, Paterin Měník and 1786 were assigned to their parish. At the same time Nova Ves the parish church Chudobín was assigned, but the church tithe continued to go after Měrotín. Until the mid-19th century Měrotín always been one of the Olomouc Kapitulargütern.

After the abolition of patrimonial Měrotín / Mirotein formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Littau. 1867 Střemeníčko was umgepfarrt after Bouzov. After 1893 the village was known as the German Měrotein. 1913 the village of Skalka limestone quarry north was added. In 1914 the local train Littau large Senitz took the backroad Litovel - on Mladeč which followed the sound shear limestone quarries on the railway network. After the dissolution of Okres Litovel the community came in 1961 Okres Olomouc, at the same time Měrotín was incorporated into Mladeč. 1990 Měrotín broke away and formed a separate municipality again. The limestone quarry is now operated by the Company Vápenka Vitoul sro, Mladeč.

Měrotín is a Catholic vicarage for Hradečná, Kovářov, Mladeč, Savin and Slavětín.
