Geography
Geographical location
Moeglingen is 277-309 meters above sea level in the southwestern Neckarbecken in the Long field on the eastern edge of the Strohgäus, about four kilometers west of the county town of Ludwigsburg.
Neighboring communities
Moeglingen bordered to the north on the town of Asperg, on the east by the county town of Ludwigsburg, in the southeast on the town Kornwestheim, to the south by the district master home of Stuttgart, in the southwest of the city Korntal, on the west by Schwieberdingen and in the northwest the city Markgroningen.
History
Moeglingen was first mentioned in 1275 in a document of the Bishopric of Constance. At that time there was already a church in the village. Since 1818 the place belonged to the upper office Ludwigsburg, which rose in 1934 in the district of Ludwigsburg.
