Nichelino
Nichelino ( Piedmontese El Niclin ) is a municipality with 47 657 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Turin (TO ), Region Piedmont.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 229 m asl. The municipality covers an area of 20.6 km ².
The neighboring municipalities are Turin, Orbassano, Beinasco, Moncalieri, Candiolo and Vinovo.

The Castle of Stupinigi (Italian palazzina di caccia di Stupinigi, German hunting lodge Stupinigi ), about 10 kilometers southwest of Turin belongs to the municipality Nichelino. It was a hunting seat of the Dukes of Savoy, is since 1997 a UNESCO World Heritage Site Residences of the Royal House of Savoy.
Twinning
Nichelino maintains twinning since 2006 Caluire -et -Cuire in the French region of Rhône -Alpes and since 2009 for the Maltese city of Victoria.
