Niendorf an der Stecknitz

Niendorf ad St. (sometimes Niendorf / Stecknitz ) is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

History

The village was first mentioned in Isfriedschen partition treaty of 1194 for the first time. Niendorf was long manor. Landlords were the Scharpenbergs ( 1640 ), the Barons of Albedyll and last, Maximilian Theodor Metzener, who sold the estate in 1928 to the county. 1928 also saw the union of the rural community with the Gutsbezirk.
