Noviny pod Ralskem

Noviny pod Ralskem ( German Neuland am Rollberge ) is a municipality of Okres Ceska Lipa in the Liberec Region in the north of the Czech Republic.

It lies in the valley of the river Ploučnice ( Polzen ) at the foot of the mountain Ralsko ( Roll).

History

Neuland am Rollberge was from the mid-19th century the judicial district Niemes or to the district Ceske Lipa.

Attractions

• In the village is the chapel of the Holy Trinity from the 18th century.
• On the outskirts, the Průrva Ploučnice is ( Polzendurchbruch ); there flows the Ploučnice over 150 meters by a man-made underground channel.
