Dubnice

Dubnice ( German Henner village) is a municipality of Okres Ceska Lipa in the Liberec Region in the north of the Czech Republic and on the southern slope of the Lusatian Mountains. It lies on the road from Jablonné v Podještědí ( German fork ) to Straz pod Ralskem ( Wartenberg ).

History

The first mention of Dubnicze comes from 1352nd Heinrichsdorf alias Dubnicz, as the place was named in 1405, belonged to the rule Wartenberg. 1504 acquired Bartholomew Hirsch Perger of Königshain possession. His descendants, the brothers Balthasar and Erasmus were expropriated as Protestants after the Battle of White Mountain; Albrecht von Wallenstein received the goods and sold them in 1627 to Liechtenstein.

Between 1699 and 1702 the church was built; since 1700 Henner village was a vicarage.

1981 Dubnice was incorporated into Straz pod Ralskem, since 1990 it is again an independent municipality.
