Krompach

Krompach ( German Krombach ) is a municipality of Okres Ceska Lipa in the Liberec Region in the north of the Czech Republic on the southern slope of the Zittau Mountains. The resort is situated in the valley of the brook Krompašský creek under the high forest ( Hvozd ).

History

1391 the settlement was the first time as the manor Milštejn ( millstone ) mentioned locality associated with mills. Prior to 1549 the village was known as the village of glassmaking. 1687 founded Julius Franz of Saxe- Lauenburg, then landlord of the Imperial City, a glassworks in Juliustal. Later, the home weaving developed in the town. From the 19th century the area became a recreation area.

From the hamlet of Valy there are two trails to Germany; one leads to the Jonsdorf and the other to the grove. In 2011, the border crossing on the road to Jonsdorf was also open to cars.

The municipality consists of the villages Krompach Juliovka ( Juliustal ) Krompach ( Krombach ) and Valy ( Schanze village) < ref < http://www.uir.cz/casti-obce-obec/561738/Obec-Krompach < / ref >. Only reason settlement unit is Krompach.

Attractions

  • In the village, the Church of the Holy Fourteen Holy Helpers located from 1782 with a pulpit in the rococo style.
  • Three protected yew

Near the town is the Jánské kameny ( locust stone).
