Šebrov-Kateřina

Šebrov - Kateřina is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-west of Blansko and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Šebrov - Katerina is located in the western part of the Drahany country in the valley of the brook Šebrovka. To the north of Bukovec rise ( 596 m) and the BREZI ( 433 m), in the southeastern Vesely kopeček (514 m ) south of the Homole (443 m) in the southwest of Babí lom ( 562 m), Spálené skála and MANOVA ( 433 m ) and northwest of the Dubový kopec ( 533 m). To the east lies the transverse valley of the Svitava.

Neighboring towns are Hořice in the north, Blansko and Olešná in the northeast, Olomučany in the east, Josefov, Huť Františka and Adamov to the southeast, Vranov, U Jelínka, Lelekovice and Podlesí in the south, Kuřim the southwest, Svinošice in the west and Milonice and Závist in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Schebraw place in the year 1364. The village was probably founded by SEBOR of Rájec on ​​Lelekovice. East of the village was the settlement Paseka. 1469 originated in Paseka the church of St.. Catherine.

After the abolition of patrimonial Šebrov formed with the hamlet of St. Katherine in 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. 1868 parted both places in the communities Šebrov and St. Katherine. 1950 both communities were assigned to the Okres Blansko. With the beginning of 1961 the union of Šebrov and St. Katherine was a community - Šebrov Kateřina. Gepfarrt the community is to Vranov.
