Sherbrooke Saint-François

The Saint -François de Sherbrooke ( Sherbrooke Saint -François English ) was a Canadian ice hockey team from Sherbrooke, Quebec. The team played from 2004 to 2011 in the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey.

History

The Lacroix de Windsor from the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League was relocated to Sherbrooke in 2003 from Windsor, Quebec and renamed Saint -François de Sherbrooke. In the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League, the team played for a year, before it was renamed Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey 2004. In this, they won in the 2005/06 season the Futura Coupe, in the years 2007 and 2010 they failed in the final of this. In the 2010/11 season the team won the championship again the LNAH and the now renamed Coupe Canam trophy. Yannick Tremblay was named Most Valuable Player of the playoffs.

In July 2011, the franchise was sold to a group of three regional investors. This then decided that the team will return to Windsor. Since then, the team plays under the name Wild de Windsor in the LNAH.
