Geography

Stadecken -Elsheim lies just 15 km ( straight line ) southwest of the city of Mainz in the center of the wine region Rheinhessen both sides of the Selz.

The municipality is divided into the two districts Mundelsheim and Stadecken. The hamlet Mundelsheim includes the residential places Am Weiher Born and Windhäuserhof, the district Stadecken the residential places Peter Wiese and Wolfshof.

History

Stadecken -Elsheim is a community which emerged from the previously independent municipalities Stadecken and Mundelsheim on June 7, 1969. Viniculture
