Thorsten Kinhöfer

Thorsten Kinhöfer (* June 27, 1968 in Wanne- Eickel ) is a German football referee.

Life

Kinhöfer lives in Herne and works as Head of Controlling at Stadtwerke Herne.

Football

Kinhöfer began playing football as a teenager as the goalkeeper in SV Holsterhausen and the DSC Wanne -Eickel. In his youth he had to feel through an elbow fracture and clay courts damaged knee restrictions. Early age of 16 he made his referee exam and started in F- and E - youth leagues. After his transition as a player from the A- youth in the men's area, he decided to devote himself entirely to the selection of referees.

Kinhöfer since 1994 DFB referee for the SC Constantin Herne. Since 1997 he heads the Second and Games since 2001 Games of the First Bundesliga. His first assignment was in the match TSV 1860 Munich vs VfL Wolfsburg on 23 September 2001. In 2003, he led games in the Korean K- League. In the following years he also ran games in Saudi Arabia Saudi Professional League and Qatar in the Qatari Stars League.

Since January 2006 Thorsten Kinhöfer is FIFA referee. On 1 March 2006, he headed to the friendly match between the U.S. and Poland its first international match.

In September 2013 it was announced that Bastian Dankert and Tobias Stieler be reported in 2014 as a referee for FIFA List. The two replace Florian Meyer and Kinhöfer who have to bow to age.

From the DFB Kinhöfer was recognized for leading the finals of the DFB - Cup 2010 in Berlin.
