Vinodol, Nitra
Vinodol is a municipality in western Slovakia with 1925 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). It is located in Okres Nitra, kraj a county of Nitriansky.
Geography
Vinodol located in the Danube hills on the left bank of the river Nitra. The N.M. at an altitude of 130 m lying the center located 18 kilometers south of Nitra and 10 kilometers northeast of Šurany.
History
Today's church was built in 1960 by the merger of places Dolny Vinodol ( until 1948 " Dolny Siles "; Untersillesch German, Hungarian Alsószőlős ) and Horný Vinodol ( up to 1948 " of Horny Siles "; Obersillesch German, Hungarian Felsőszőlős ) remaining parts of municipalities today. The name means " wine valley ".
The original village was first mentioned in 1113 as Zoulos writing.
