Ivanka pri Nitre
Ivanka pri Nitre ( Slovak to 1948 " Ivánka pri Nitre " - to 1927 " Ivánka "; Iwanka German, Hungarian Nyitraivánka - to 1888 Ivánka ) is a municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia.
History
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1330 as Iwankafalva, 1924, the place Lúky - Gergeľová was incorporated and the town from 1976 to 1992 was a part of the city of Nitra.
Location
The municipality lies at an altitude of 146 meters and covers an area of 14.909 km ². The population is about 2415 inhabitants.
Ethnicity
The village is inhabited nearly 98 % of Slovaks.

The village has a public library, a sports hall and a football pitch.
